eveningcalm: (Seriously I'm willing to settle for ugly)
[ A - 912 Bilko Boulevard - Christmas Day ]

[The first thing Izumo sees as she comes downstairs is her name on the stocking, so naturally she checks it out. Stuffers included makeup, candy, and a fashion magazine or two--as well as coveted bottles of fruit milk. She nods in quiet approval of the gifts before catching sight of two packages neatly under the Christmas tree. One is wrapped plainly from the post office; the other is done up in Christmas packaging.]

[She opens the post office one, first, blinking when she sees a card with a picture of a magic circle on it and shuddering when she feels something return to her. It doesn't take a genius to figure out, and within five minutes (with the help of some murmured words, a slip of paper, and a cut finger) she's got her byakko familiars by her sides. She gives a self-confident smile before turning to the second package, the one from Santa.]

[Inside that one is a photo of Izumo and the best friend that she misses terribly, though it's only been three weeks. She stares at the photograph, silent and solemn and peculiarly downtrodden, for a long time. Anyone wandering downstairs might find their purple-haired housemate curled up on a couch, surrounded by curious white fox byakko and staring at a photo, pajamas and all.]

[ B - Phone - Also the 25th ]

Told you all so.

[She doesn't care if it's already been said. It's because she can.]

[ C - Around Town - 25th through 27th ]

[You may see a purple-haired girl walking down the street with aforementioned white foxes tailing her obediently. Especially if you're headed up to Makeout Point, as she's determined that to be the best place for practice. She's also going to be visiting stores that sell anything related to sewing and clothes' design, so she may be browsing the fabrics in an aisle or checking out--you never know!]

[ D - 337 Brady Lane - December 27th ]

[On the morning of the 27th, the doorbell of 337 Brady Lane will ring. If the door is opened, no one will be present to have done the ringing. But on the porch are two neatly wrapped packages, one blue and one red, with bows of alternate colors. The blue one is tagged "Okumura Rin," while the red one is tagged "Okumura Yukio." In the "from" area of each tag, no name is listed.]

[Inside the packages, the twins (or whoever gets to the packages before them) will find a set of matching flannel shirts with a peculiar grid pattern on them. Yukio's is predominantly red with some blue, while Rin's is predominantly blue with some red, and each shirt is folded over a dark navy (Yukio) or dark red (Rin) vest. Each piece is handmade instead of store-bought, and carefully sewn.]

[ A - Action - 912 Bilko Boulevard - noonish ]

[Yeah, uh, cue Izumo staring at the TV with disbelief and indignation. She got to it a little late, considering it's Saturday and she loves sleeping late whenever possible.]

That's ridiculous. I'm right here!

[ B - Phone - afternoon ]

I'm not even going to waste my breath. If you're stupid enough to believe what the TV told you, so be it.

[On to the main reason for the phone call:]

Okumura. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that you're not actually a replacement, either?

[ C - Action - Library - afternoon ]

[This would be Izumo, defiantly reading until all of you decide to not be stupid anymore. There are several books on sewing and fashion magazines piled on the table she's sitting at; the books seem to absorb her attention, and she jots notes, while the magazines eke expressions of distaste.]

Ugh. It's all so bland.

[Bother her?]

[ D - Action - High School (backdated, pre-event) - lunchtime ]

[Izumo is on her way to the cafeteria, through the halls. She's scrawling furiously in a notebook as she walks briskly, and if you look close enough, you may see flashes of archaic symbols on the pages, as well as full pages of messy handwriting. One page flutters out of the notebook, folded closed.]

[On the inside of the folded paper, should you pick it up (or have your attention caught by a smear of red) is a magic circle drawn in what appears to be blood. In the corner of the paper is doodled a picture of what appears to be a fox. Care to pester her as to wtf this is?]
